I have put it with some maple leaves but... My wife has fetched home a sycamore moth caterpillar, found by some of her pupils on the school field.

I have put it with some maple leaves but it now seems to be curling up around a stem, presumably to pupate.

I don't have an exact size but I think its between 1-3cm or so.

1. Fell onto the top of the lawnmower when mowing close round flower bed, not sure which plant it might have fallen from though
